Terms and Conditions for UK Services

Customer booking service agreement and terms overview These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which services are provided by our company to you, the customer. By placing a booking, requesting a quotation, or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these service terms. They are intended to create a clear understanding of the booking process, payment obligations, cancellation rules, liability limits, waste handling requirements, and the law that applies to the agreement. Please read them carefully before confirming any service request.

These service terms apply to all standard work, one-off jobs, scheduled appointments, and any related add-on services unless we agree otherwise in writing. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. No variation of these terms will be valid unless it is agreed by an authorised representative in writing. Any reference to “we”, “us”, or “our” means the service provider, and any reference to “you” means the customer or the person requesting the service.

Confirmation of service booking and pricing terms Booking Process. A booking may be made by request for a quote, acceptance of a price estimate, or confirmation of a scheduled service slot. When you make an enquiry, we may ask for information needed to assess the work, including the type of service, access conditions, timing requirements, and any special instructions. Any quotation provided before a site visit is based on the information supplied by you and may be revised if the details change or if the actual service requirements differ from those originally described.

Once a booking is confirmed, you agree to ensure that the service location is ready at the agreed time and that any required permissions, access arrangements, or internal approvals have been obtained in advance. If the service cannot begin because access is unavailable, information is incomplete, or the area is not reasonably prepared, we may treat the appointment as delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled in accordance with these terms. We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw a booking where carrying out the work would be unsafe, unlawful, impractical, or outside the scope of our services.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all information provided during the booking process is accurate and complete. This includes, where relevant, the nature of the items involved, the size or volume of any work required, and any known hazards, restrictions, or special handling needs. If inaccurate information leads to additional time, extra materials, revised labour, or further equipment requirements, the price may be adjusted accordingly. Any estimated times for arrival, completion, or duration are approximate unless we expressly confirm otherwise in writing.

We may ask you to confirm a booking by email, message, or other written method, and the booking will be treated as accepted only once we have confirmed it. If a deposit or advance payment is required, the booking may remain provisional until the payment is received in cleared funds. We may also require identity confirmation, site details, or other reasonable checks before acceptance. Service availability may change due to staffing, weather, safety issues, supply problems, or events beyond our control.

Payment and invoice terms for UK services Payments and Charges. Prices may be quoted as fixed fees, hourly rates, minimum charges, or a combination of these, depending on the nature of the service. Unless otherwise stated, all charges are exclusive of any applicable taxes, fees, or third-party costs. Additional work requested by you, or made necessary by circumstances discovered during the service, may be charged separately. We will use reasonable efforts to explain any material change in cost before proceeding where practicable.

Payment terms will be set out in the quotation, invoice, or booking confirmation. In the absence of specific terms, payment is due immediately upon completion of the work, or before the service begins if advance payment has been requested. We may charge a deposit to secure certain bookings, particularly where materials, equipment, staffing, or reserved time have been allocated in advance. Any deposit is usually non-refundable where the booking is cancelled by you outside the agreed cancellation window or where we have already incurred costs.

We may suspend or refuse further services if payment is overdue. Late payments may be subject to interest, reasonable recovery costs, and administrative charges to the extent permitted by law. If payment is made by bank transfer, card, or another electronic method, you are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds and accurate payment details. Failure to pay may result in the recovery of amounts owed through lawful collection processes. Any discounts, promotional offers, or special rates are personal to the specific booking and may not be transferred or combined unless we agree otherwise.

Cancellations and Rescheduling. You may cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking by giving us notice within a reasonable period before the agreed service time. The amount of notice required may depend on the type of work, the level of preparation involved, and any costs already incurred. If you cancel at short notice, fail to provide access, or are unavailable at the agreed time, we may charge a cancellation fee that reflects our direct losses, reserved labour, and non-recoverable expenses.

If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will act reasonably and notify you as soon as practicable. This may happen due to sickness, vehicle breakdown, adverse weather, safety concerns, supply issues, or any circumstance making performance impossible or impractical. Where appropriate, we may offer an alternative date or a refund of any advance payment relating to work not yet carried out. We will not be responsible for any indirect loss caused by a cancellation or postponement, provided that we have acted in good faith and with reasonable care.

If a service is interrupted after it has started because of conditions beyond our control, or because you ask us to stop, we may charge for all work completed, time spent, and any costs already committed. Where a booking has been made for a specific time period and the service is cancelled late, our loss may include the cost of reallocating staff and equipment. The parties acknowledge that these cancellation rules are designed to be fair and proportionate, and not to impose a penalty.

Liability and responsibility conditions for service delivery Liability and Service Standards. We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care and in accordance with the description agreed at the time of booking. However, we do not guarantee that a service will achieve a specific outcome unless this is expressly stated in writing. Any advice we give is based on the information available at the time and should not be treated as a guarantee unless clearly confirmed as such. You must take reasonable steps to protect your own property, belongings, and premises before and during the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable, or for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of profit, loss of business, or missed opportunities. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are responsible for proven damage to property, our liability may be limited to the cost of reasonable repair or replacement, subject to the circumstances and the value of the service provided.

You agree to provide a safe working environment and to inform us of any hidden dangers, fragile items, restricted access, asbestos concerns, electrical risks, pest issues, contamination, or other hazards that could affect the service. If we identify a safety risk, we may pause or terminate the work until the issue is resolved. We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, wear and tear, defective installations, or damage caused by inaccurate information supplied by you. Service liability is also limited where delays or failures result from events outside our reasonable control.

Waste Regulations and Disposal. Where our services involve the removal, handling, transport, or disposal of waste materials, both parties must comply with applicable UK waste legislation and environmental requirements. You must ensure that any waste presented for collection or removal is accurately described and does not contain prohibited, dangerous, or undeclared items unless we have agreed in advance to handle them. We may refuse to remove materials that appear hazardous, contaminated, improperly packaged, or unsuitable for the agreed service.

Waste must be separated, presented, and classified in a manner that allows lawful handling and disposal. If the waste stream changes after booking, or if additional regulated material is discovered on site, the price may increase and the service may need to be modified. You are responsible for disclosing any item or substance that requires special treatment, documentation, or licensed disposal. Where necessary, we may ask you to sign or acknowledge records confirming the description and transfer of waste.

Waste handling and disposal compliance requirements We may engage authorised third parties to process, transport, or dispose of waste where this is necessary to complete the service lawfully. In such cases, the waste remains subject to the relevant regulations and may incur additional charges. You must not ask us to dispose of waste in a manner that would breach the law, and we will not accept any instruction that appears improper or unlawful. If we reasonably believe the waste information provided is false or incomplete, we may stop the service and charge for time already spent and reasonable costs already incurred.

Customer Obligations. You agree to cooperate with us throughout the service, provide timely access, and make sure any instructions given are lawful and accurate. You must not interfere with our staff or contractors, and you must ensure that children, pets, or other persons do not create an unsafe environment. Where a service depends on power, water, parking, lift access, or other facilities, you are responsible for arranging these unless we state otherwise. Failure to meet these obligations may delay the work or increase the cost.

You are also responsible for securing any permissions, consents, or approvals required for the service, including those from landlords, property managers, or other relevant parties. If the service requires us to work around sensitive items, protected surfaces, or fragile areas, you must tell us before the booking is confirmed. We will not be responsible for losses arising from your failure to disclose relevant information. Any items left with us or any materials we supply should be checked promptly, and any issue should be raised as soon as reasonably possible.

We may rely on your instructions as accurate unless there is a clear reason to doubt them. If you instruct us to proceed in a way that may affect the service quality, safety, timing, or compliance with law, we may decline the instruction or proceed only after written confirmation that you accept the consequences. These terms for services are intended to establish a fair allocation of responsibility so that the work can be delivered efficiently and lawfully.

Changes to Terms. We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, operational requirements, or service structure. The version in force at the time of your booking will normally apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or agreed by both parties. Any amended terms will not affect bookings already accepted, except where necessary to comply with legal obligations or to address urgent safety issues.

Any failure by us to enforce a particular right or provision at any time will not be treated as a waiver of that right. If we choose to make a concession in a specific case, that concession will not create a continuing entitlement. Headings are included for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. References to legislation include any amendments, re-enactments, or replacement provisions that apply from time to time. The ordinary meaning of words will apply unless the context requires otherwise.

Governing Law. These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If any term is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full force and effect.

By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these service terms. The agreement reflects a balanced approach to service delivery, payment, risk, and lawful disposal obligations. It is designed to protect both the customer and the service provider while keeping the booking process transparent and practical. These UK service terms and conditions form the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the booked work, unless a separate written contract states otherwise.
